Maafushi Inn

Maafushi Inn seems to be the best Hotel / Guesthouse on Maafushi Island. Its lead by some very friendly young but still professional locals. I went there with my cousin and cought up with a polish couple from our plane where we basically spend out whole holiday with. They were at a different hotel but we always met at ours to go on activities such as snorkling or manta-ray watching. Maafushi Inn is by far the cheapest to go on activities and u dont have these hotelguys like in other hotels working on a schedule but you instead have the locals which feel like a friend to you with whom you can have fun with and have much more experience of the watersurrounding then anyone other. They always made possible whatever idea we had of doing something like even nightsnorkling out on the ocean reefs. The staff didnt feel liek staff but rather then a family where we hung around with in evenings and had fun with on the days. Even learned local fishing and went to Badminton-Club- Lesson with one of them in the evening. The cook also is very experienced and made us great dinners every evening at whatever time we wanted. If it was just our order or our local catch of the day its was a fantastic dinner each time !! Good on him for trying with our german pancakes :) Had great time on Maldives with these guys and I recommend the Hotel to everyone who wants to have a great individual trip but also having a good friendly touch with the locals to experience what Maldives really is about.
